This past weekend, I discovered something truly amazing. Smith's grocery store has digital coupons, through their website! Not only coupons, but each day there is an offer that you can receive that is completely free! For example, a free cup of yogurt, or a free 6 pack of water bottles. There are a ton of coupons on this website and when I went shopping, I saved $10!!!
Here are just some of the savings!!! There are hundreds more.
I am so grateful I came across this, because before I go shopping there, I can look at the app (Smith's App) and see the coupons and decide on what I should buy at that store! If there are sweet deals, all you have to do is sign up for an account, include your smith's rewards number, and then hit the button that says add to card! Then at checkout, all of you coupons will be applied at the end of the transaction. Woo hoo!
I loved this! I need to be better at using coupons. Thanks for sharing! This is awesome.
ReplyDeleteA great example of media at its finest. Coupons have slowly evolved until they all have a price, date, and an image with all the less important info following after.

ReplyDeleteIf you like the Smith's digital coupons, you should also check out the Ibotta app and if you use this link(https://ibotta.com/r/dnftcgf) to sign up for it, we will both earn extra money when you redeem your first rebate.
ReplyDeleteAs great as coupons are, I have found that I will often buy more than needed when using coupons. Or in other words, I buy things I don't really need because they're cheaper than usual.
ReplyDeleteI have started using the Walmart Savings Catcher over the last few months and prefer this method. After you enter your receipt number, Walmart will price match everything it can that you bought to the advertised prices (i.e., digital coupons) of other stores and refund the difference. You can accumulate a balance in your account and cash it out in the form of an e-gift card whenever you want! With that being said, I like the idea of free offers... ;)
Wow this is a cool idea! I have long thought that coupons were getting to be a tedious hobby really. I have wondered when technology would finally produce an easier, more useful way of shopping cheaper. I once was going to try shopping on line and doing the store pick up. My sister in law raves about that. I am not sure if Wal Mart in Provo is set up for that program though. I appreciate this discussion as well to what others have found helpful.
ReplyDeleteIf you like this you will also enjoy the app for any smart phone called "coupon Sherpa" it has all recent coupons from all popular stores. It's amazing. I appreciate this post mainly because I need to dedicate more time to looking at coupons finding ways to save money. I agree with Jason and I often buy things I don't necessarily NEED to buy. I just need to be careful!
